Does the Television Make You Feel Like a Stranger; The Side of West Texas Highways; Waiting For Paper Wings to Take Flight

Mikaela Seelke

I like to take pictures of things as a personal interest that I don't usually share except between a few close friends. I love capturing places of colors, patterns, and funky angles that just work to make an image contrasting and full of interesting shapes that you want to keep looking at. These works are collections of pictures that are tied to strong emotions of mine across the places I have lived, whether, from an art gallery of a town I called home for three months, a guest bedroom in Texas, or the tiles on a street that reminded me of home, they are all patchworks of places I have been and might not go again but have stitched together who I am today.
