Join us for UW's first Literary Festival on May 20th-21st, 2025!

LitFest is a two-day festival that uplifts the work of talented writers, artists, and scholars in the UW community. The festival is a free event open to students, staff, faculty, and alumni, serving as a gathering space for creatives to exchange ideas and find inspiration. We are excited to launch this student-driven initiative to invigorate the humanities and support student work.​

WHAT IS LITFEST?

  • LitFest is a two-day festival at UW to celebrate all things literature, the humanities, and research!

  • Our LitFest events include author readings, a book fair, interdisciplinary research colloquium, and open mic

  • Attendance is free and open to all in the UW community (students, faculty, staff, alumni)

WHERE IS LITFEST?

  • Allen Library Petersen Room

    • Our main LitFest events will take place in the Petersen Room, Room 485 in Allen Library North. ​

  • HUB Lawn: â€‹â€‹â€‹

    • Our Book Fair on May 20th will take place outdoors on the HUB Lawn. ​

HOW DO I SIGN-UP?

  • No sign-ups necessary to attend LitFest! Show up to the Petersen Room and HUB to participate in LitFest events. â€‹
